I'd call it "good." Second-tier for Gucci at the very best.

All 3 of them were the s--- at one point in their careers. I never really listened to gucci mane much, he had a few songs that were alright. But jeezys material has better replay value imo. For example, the song "smoke and f---" is pretty old but still, i find myself always coming back to that song because of how boss his flow is and some of his other joints... when he really wants to go in...(like that one)

but i'm more of an east coast/northwest person myself

Is he wrong? I don't understand why OP didn't include Andre 3000 when he's clearly the king of the South

Guys, guys, guys. Andre is one of the best rappers--maybe the best rapper--to ever come from a southern state. Sure. But "king of _____" is generally considered to be a present-tense thing.

This decade alone? Andre releases a guest verse once every blue moon and those verses would - 9 out of 10 times - renegade the whole album: Benz Friendz, Sixteen, Pink Matter, The Real Her and Carter 4 Interlude.

Gucci hasn't released anything noteworthy. He's probably released 500 projects this year, and yet no one talks about a single one of them. TI had a few hits, and I loved Jeezy's Seen It All album, but like I said, none of these three hold a candle next to Andre to this very day.

It's my first full Gucci project and I'm really liking it. I did listen to a little bit of The State vs and was very impressed from the very beginning of that album, and Jesus Christ that Lil Wayne verse

out of the 3 i think Gucci has made the best music. never been big on Jeezy, but its hard to deny the first few albums he dropped. TI has never been someone I would pick to listen to.

Historically, I'd say so--king of New York was Kurtis Blow, then LL, then Kane, then............
The verses Andre adds to songs now are almost always phenomenal. And while hip-hop isn't given its just recognition as a singles genre, it's not...a guest features genre. Like, Andre is great on "Benz Friendz," but his first on "Benz Friendz" doesn't vault him over Future, and I don't see how you could argue that it does.
    Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
    He's had one
It entered the charts at #2
T.I. had five consecutive platinum albums and pioneered a genre

It's not a guest features genre, you're right, but it does play a major role. Case in point: the song Renegade coined a staple term in hip hop. Andre renegades albums.

I've got spare time rn. Change my mind. Recommend me stuff

s--- I meant to say this decade not this year. My bad.

Platinum doesn't mean it's a good album. Eminem has 7 consecutive platinum albums including 2 consecutive diamonds, and has pioneered a genre (where did the term Renegade and Stan come from?) but yet a number of people still think Eminem sucks. Tha Carter 4 went double platinum and Wayne has pioneered a genre but that doesn't make C4 a good album.

What I'm saying is that a verse every 18 months doesn't make you the king of a region, especially when your very city is also home to the hottest rapper in the world over the past 18 months.
Writing on the Wall, Chicken Talk, State vs. Radric Davis, Trap God, Burrrprint 2. To say he "hasn't released anything noteworthy" is just an abysmal reading of the last decade in hip-hop. It's not true and it ignores both a phenomenal catalog and his massive influence.
    Uh, also not correct.
Of course it doesn't. But you said T.I. had "a couple hits," which grossly underestimates his power.

(For the record, Eminem did not "pioneer a genre.")

Future is not a contemporary of these guys. And I will bet my house you've never listened to a Gucci tape straight through.

Since 2012, and specifically since partway through 2014, I would. And I'd also say he already has a better catalog than Jeezy.
