Oct 29, 2021 Some small team game developments do, or complete rehauls & ones that focus on micro transactions do as well, but a decade for a game made on the same engine as the previous title in a company that’s generated so much money to have as big development team as they wish is ridiculous & just isn’t the case at all, it’s a choice to focus on V MP. They’re still releasing content for this decade old game because it’s lucrative, they’re going to milk it aren’t they. Rockstar used to release multiple games a year, I know development times have increased due to hardware improvements, but to act like a decade is somehow justified & not a business decision is insane to me.
Oct 29, 2021 Yeah it is by far my favourite out of the 2 ‘newest gen’ GTAs, it’s a shame the PC port was so dreadful, it’s known as one of the worst ports of all time, or I’d still be playing it to this day, the modding community was massive back in the day it was so fun despite the horrible development, at least they sorted V out on PC but it just isn’t as fun to play & it’s a shame they keep trying to stop people modding it even though it keeps their games alive.
Oct 29, 2021 When was Rockstar ever shi--ing out multiple games a year outside of expansion DLC's? Pre 2003? Of course it's a business decision. Producing any sort of product is. Games are now expansive af and take years to make. I get you're a huge fan, but game development isn't the same as it was in 2003 lmao. GTA IV took 4 years to make. GTAV took 5 years to make. Rdr2 took 5 years to make. GTA6 development has probably been going on since 2013. It's been 3 years since RDR2 released.
Oct 29, 2021 They were releasing games every year, until 2013 - the release of GTA V. They released 8 games between 2005-2006 alone. Now it takes 10 years to make 1 game? Check it out for yourself: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_by_Rockstar_Games They can make more than 1 game at a time, they used to do it.
Oct 30, 2021 You said multiple games a year. Just cause 16 years ago they released at a pace that suits your needs better does not mean they have to today. GTAIV in development since 04. Releases in 08. GTAV in development since 08. Releases in ‘13. Red dead in development since ‘13. Releases in ‘18. All while simultaneously up-keeping GTAV and presumably working on GTA6. You’re gonna have to tell me at what point during this timeframe they should have completed and released GTA6.
Oct 30, 2021 That's why I have an XBox One, but I don't really like how dark IV is sometimes, glad V had more light.
Oct 30, 2021 Look at the list lmao I just said 8 games in a time space of 2 years & you think it’s acceptable that it takes a decade to release 2 games now? Agree to disagree I guess, I don’t understand how you can’t accept this but I’ve lost interest in this conversation now lol
Oct 30, 2021 It always took a while, but they would feed us PSP ports and dlcs in the meantime. People also care way more about online now.
Oct 30, 2021 Dusted off my ps3 and found a copy of GTA4 Complete Edition on ebay for $17 including shipping btw. Should be here sometime next week—though I also just started Metal Gear Solid 4 cuz that's the only mainline MGS I haven't played so i'll prob try to finish that first but I'm hyped to play GTA4 as well.
Oct 30, 2021 Been able to play 360 games. If I buy this I will have the original San Andreas and this one.
Oct 30, 2021 I actually still have a 360 somewhere too. I tried to sell it on ebay a couple years ago but the only dude who tried to buy it lived in Tanzania and it was gonna cost $100+ to ship it there so he backed out lol
Oct 30, 2021 San Andreas works kinda fine, only had some issues while driving fast. We will see how this trilogy looks like when they start doing reviews.
