    yeah way to early so for sure opinion can change, but yeah I think so, at least if we're just speaking quality. they are nothing alike, sonically.

    the album is fantastic start to finish. every song makes you feel some sort of way. production is spectacular throughout. writing is incredible (what do we expect). um yeah, dude knocked it out of the park.

    after about 34 listens i definitely prefer channel orange to this album. However, this album is still a solid 9/10. Frank delivered

    I'm not gonna rate Blond or anything yet, I'm gonna live with it. channel ORANGE means so much to me because I lived with that album, I took it with me everywhere and it became the soundtrack to parts of my life. People are so quick to judge a body of work when you should go out there and create moments that will draw connections with certain songs & s---. Find meaning for yourself in them, rather than sitting on your laptop finding things about the album that you don't like or comparing them to other albums :)

    I've lived inside this album since last night and I agree, it's really, really good. It has some issues, but it surpassed my expectations.

    Why are you acting like "pop" is an insult? Michael Jackson was a pop artist. Bjork is a pop artist. It's not a measure of quality or even of "realness" or anything like that. I simply think--like many people do--that he works more in a pop musical tradition than an R&B one. I mean, s---, I've listened to the album like seven times today. It's really good! But you'd be hard-pressed to call it R&B. That's not a bad thing.

    No my front/back half comment was about Blond. I feel like, after "Nights," it doesn't quite pick up the same momentum it had. There are still good songs but it doesn't get in the same rhythm.
    Worm m8 I love you but are you saying that Gucci isn't a good rapper?
    I think that Channel Orange is good and that it has some great songs. Dunno if I'd call it "one of the most innovative R&B albums" ever though, lol. Is it even, strictly speaking, an R&B album? I'd say Frank Ocean is a pop artist, wouldn't you?
    I don't understand what this is supposed to mean.
    lmao...you guys.

    Frank Ocean is wildly popular but it's not like dissent about the quality of Channel Orange specifically is super uncommon.
