Feb 8, 2016 Eminem said he doesn't care about record sales for as long as he been such a high seller, most highest selling artist in his genre he always been very PC regarding sales to the hip hop community, the black community. Some felt it was just him being PC on purpose being a white dude that out sold everyone in a black genre. Many felt it was a PC move being so humble about his ridiculously high record sales and dominance of music commercially But when it came to making Recovery for the very first time he admitted he does care about record sales. Relapse sold multi platinum but he wanted an album in Recovery that would sell more. For the very first time in his career he also listened to his fans who hated Relapse and wanted an emotional Recovery type album so he cancelled Relapse 2 and made Recovery. This was due to the social media era where he could see what his fans thought about Relapse and what type of album the fans wanted So why didn't he not just admit from the start sales are important to him and it is a great feeling for him to sell as much as he does and why intend to make a sequel album to Relapse why not from the very start just plan to have Relapse a Slim Shady themed album then the follow up an emotional/soulful/deep album Recovery Why open your mouth trying to be so humble and PC when all u have to do is keep things simple?
Feb 10, 2016 At what point did he "admit" he wants high sales? And even if he did, so? Most people on sxn 80 seem to think recovery is his best post hiatus album.
