And honestly I f---in hated it and hated him at first. I didn't even know he was a rapper at first. I was like "Who the f--- is this? A techno artist, a pop artist? The next Vanilla Ice?" I was very skeptical at first. Then I heard Guilty Conscience and was like "Okay that's a little better" Then I heard Forgot About Dre and his contributions to Chronic 2001 and I was like "Wow this guy is better than I thought" but I still didn't buy his album. Then in the summer of 2000 the Up In Smoke Tour was going on, with Dre/Snoop, all my favorite artists, and Em was the opening act. And then he put out the single/video for The Way I Am and I instantly f---ing loved it. I went and bought MMLP, loved the album, then went and bought SSLP, and loved that too. By the time Devil's Night came out in 2001 Em was my favorite artist and has been ever since. I bought TES on its release date in 2002 and have done the same with every Eminem related project ever since.

It was the only CD I had, so I listened to it all the time. I never got up to Kim until one day I was listening to it in the car and I was so appalled that I had to keep listening.
