Sep 19, 2021 Drake still keeps himself relevant and he knows how to make a song sound good and keep people coming back to it. Even if I don't like a lot of this pandemic Drake stuff, I wouldn't count him out yet. Seeing Green is one of my favorite songs this year, and some of these songs from the album are hit material. Hope he won’t waste them. Even if he fell off, which took a long time btw, he stil has plenty of projects I really like and collabs I can go back to. So it's all good. Pretty impressive career.
Sep 19, 2021 So what, if you look for it, I'm sure you'll find 3-4 songs which were reworded by any rapper with a +20 year career. The thing is 25 To Life was very weak compared to this. Hook is not lame really, it's just you guys. I know for a fact that many of you say SSLP is a classic but you'd be calling it all lame if it was released today. ohh, how most of you'd have hated it, hard to imagine.

You'd have hated it if the were released today with all the misogyny, drug loving, mom bashing, old wife murdering stuff etc...

Sep 19, 2021 25 to Life is top 5 Recovery, as well as the prototype to all Never Love Again type songs. But NLA is one of the best examples from recent years, the writing is super solid and while the first beat does leave a lil to be desired, the beat switch is great and makes up for it. It’s almost like the TLDR version of Arose with the flushing at the end X)
