Nov 19, 2025 Nah thas crazy. MMLP2 era rapping is some of his best; 'Groundhog Day', 'Baby', come on. And yet neither of those fkn tracks are on the album. But, even 'Rhyme or Reason', 'Rap God', 'Brainless', 'Legacy', some really great s---... When he said he tried to go to the 'last thing' he would think of, like racked his brains, essentially for every line... it shows. The writing is dense asf. Revival on the other hand is like he went to the 'first thing' he thought of, any trash pun or word association that popped in his head and often so out of appropriate tone it's ridiculous. I mean, rapping aggressively on a political anti-Trump / pro-America;inspirational track, meant to rile people up, rally people etc. aka very serious in intent - and doing that absolutely ridiculous build-up and babble about the plate/ate s--- just to do an Adolf Hitler pun... which is also one of the stupidiest and laziest things leftist morons do with regards to Trump - HITLER? Really; a maniac who was trying to f---ing genocide an entire people. Vs. a guy who 'tweets mean stuff!'. And he shouts it too. YOU ATE OFF/ADOLF HITLER. Absurd. Then the f---ing 'this kind of pickle that we're in's hard to dill/deal'... something a f---ing 10 year old would write. If there's a track which DIDN'T need puns - it's that one, especially when they're so lazy and stupid, and said in a serious manner when they're unintentionally wince-inducing. Autism 101; And he's still in full out denial about it. Does he not read the actual - real criticisms?. Nobody was saying they want you to sound like macklemore, rap more mature etc. We complained of trash phoned-in pop features for cheap hits & abysmal writing/puns - the one thing you pride yourself on - writing. So he just builds strawmen for himself to knock down to deal with it 'maybe if it had auto-tune!'.
