Aug 28, 2025 Stan’s is doing better than I expected. It did well in theaters considering it was a limited release for 2 days and some states and territories didn’t even get it. Also ELAM Number 1 on digital, #1 still on Paramount this week streaming. I doubt the single will chart on Billboard but it’s not promoted and it’s for the fans more so than radio. as expected this was just to keep Eminem’s name in the public eye as Death of slim shady and his older albums are still selling and charting internationally. Longevity is wild.

Aug 28, 2025 So what's Matthews Edits gonna do about it? The beat, hook, and parts of the third verse likely would have been revised/redone/polished for TES. It's just that unlike the LY Demo, it never got finished or redone into a new form. He apparently abandoned it after finding his "new and improved" sound (Introdu-du-ducing the new-new and improved-proved you-you know who-who).
Aug 28, 2025 My Matthews edits era is over unfortunately. I grew out of that phase. Maybe a I’ll come back for the odd special occasion. But yeah I agree with the unfinished part, although he has done adlibs and double tracked/backing vocals, so it was clearly close to being finished. But if he had the time to go and add some “woah woahs”, tune the singing and even add a higher pitched singy part under the chorus, I don’t know why he couldn’t add a bit of instrumentation too. I also now most likely subscribe to the theory that DJ Head was talking about this song. And I think he even said Eminem didn’t really like the song, even though everyone else did. So makes sense.
