Yes, they are different types of artists but that doesn't stop people from constantly making obsured comparisons between Eminem and every f---in artist in the world all the f---in time, which this thread wasn't doing btw it was simply trying to promote conversation and stop stans from saying "Twisted" from shady XV is as deep as "These Walls"

Mar 28, 2015 facts, why is eminem the standard of artistic validation on so many occasions on these forums? That only indicates how great his stature really is. And if one really wants to compare MMLP to TPAB, sure Eminem can't make a track like 'u' or 'blacker the berry' but kendrick can't make 'kim' or 'the way i am' or 'stan' etc. And the storytelling on 'stan' is much "deeper" than a lot of people understand. Its also better executed than "How much a dollar cost". But WHO GIVES A f---, these threads are f---ing r-----ed
Mar 28, 2015 First three Em albums better than TPAB. I don't know about GKMC. Those voice changes and "funkish" vibes ruined it for me on TPAB. Like, seriously i can't sit through ten seconds of second verse of U. Music is about enjoyment for me, if I need some deep meanings I usually read books.
