Lmao, he's talking like Em committed a r--- or something.
His opinion is whatever. I feel it's partially racially motivated with him, just like Jamar. They're so embittered that Eminem is white. If Em was black and Ak heard the same song - not saying he would love it musically, but I guarantee he'd give some aspects all kinds of props.
Also, the fact he said 'Eminem was never a guy to live through a beat' shows he doesn't know wtf he's talking about. Have you HEARD TES bro?? That's called living through beats, Ak. Not murmuring gibberish and putting phrases on loop, and thinking it's more authentic because you cba or are too dumb to put words together properly.
But something like 'White America' or 'Cleaning Out My Closet' - Em breathes the beats. Some of the best flows ever.drawsskill, Guma, The Mandalorian and 1 other person like this. -

Not true. I've been very vocal about the Bass Bros being responsible for the magic we saw from 1999-2003.Guma, joeyp363, Freestyle and 1 other person like this. -

I like it. Eminem will always have a special place in my heart in a way lol. He was massive when I was growing up and I could relate to his music as a teenager. I don't care if this is deemed as melodramatic... It matters to him so who cares. It's genuine. And I can understand why his legacy and music would matter so much to him. It's his life. His identity and self-worth. I feel the song and that's the most important aspect in music at the end of the day. That's how music started. His flow and delivery aren't my favourite but it works. And since the song is literally about never being able to get it quite right... That message outshines the songs imperfections. Beyonce sounds great on the hook too.because the internet, Buddha, ImHereBitch and 1 other person like this. -

The last two verses are fu-king classic. I've listened at least 20 times to it and the song get's better and better. Yes, you can't bump that s--- in your car, it's not catchy and the production is minimal, but this is a statement from him how he felt about his struggle with his current content over the last years and i'm loving it.
The rhyme has to be perfect, the delivery flawless
And it always feels like I’m hittin' the mark
’Til I go sit in the car, listen and pick it apart
Like, "This s--- is garbage!"
"Now take your best rhyme, outdo it, now do it a thousand times
Now let 'em tell ya the world no longer cares or gives a f--- about your rhymes"

Personally, I think it's just a harder time for artistes to create something new. Not because they aren't creative enough, but just because we live in a time when everyone's voice is so easily heard, it's become so easy to drown out the voice of those who actually have something to say........because we live in an age where EVERYBODY IS AN EXPERT ON EVERYTHING. I miss those times when we'll just get music and all we could do was listen to it, and interpret it to the best our abilities through our own imaginations, emotions and experiences. That used to make us a major part of the artistic process (at least the final part of it). Nowadays, it's like we're mostly a part of the judgemental process. Hence, most artistes are struggling harder than ever (especially the veterans who are still caught up in the culture shock, a la Eminem, and even Nas) What I'm saying is....there was a time the music was really allowed to speak for itself. That time is gone.Buddha, FLIPPP IT, Niels7878 and 1 other person like this. -
