    It feels legit. That's the difference.

    The Monster - for example - feels inauthentic.

    It's not so much about a female / pop singer being on the hook, it's that when that's happening.... lately.... it's some lame template-ready-to-be-made-hook. It feels like we're being conned.

    This however - does not feel like that. So whether it's Em on the hook, Beyonce, Skylar or anybody - the production and the hook both feel like they were made for this song and for this content. I'm not saying that's definitely the case, but it feels that way.

    That's why it's a different reaction. It feels authentically made.

    And it's also not 'hit ready'. Sure it's Beyonce, but it's Eminem talk-rapping about his fans' gripes with his Speedom verse and s---, like, seriously? Nah.

    He also abandoned little bits of formatting such as having that super short intro verse, the distrorted outro, Beyonce do that bridge... lots of little things which make this feel like a real song made to be what it is - and not some "HIT TEMPLATE. INSERT EM VERSES HERE".

    That interview about Jay-Z cosigning on this confirms my point if Jay did this same song all these critics would be praising Jay talking about this being art
