May 29, 2024 No disrespect to MMLP, but TES is when Em hit his peak in terms of sound and maturity. Till I Collapse, Sing For The Moment and Without Me are still popular today. It's a guarantee if you ask any casual to play you some Eminem they're putting on one of those songs.
May 29, 2024 'Mockingbird' too, and 'Like Toy Soldiers' minor hit in US but major elsewhere - no.1 in UK. It's amazing how he thought after making TES, putting all that stupid s--- on it was good. I know he has the excuse of he was high / taking pills, but if you watch the Encore interviews around release... he was lucid asf, knew exactly what he was doing and why, seemed totally normal, yet still thought 'yeah... my 1st single, big weenie... this is it'.
