You can’t claim “I’m not homophobic because I have gay friends” yet claim Eminem’s usage of homophobic slurs & content is him being serious, whilst saying your exact same behaviour isn’t a reflection of your feelings. Someone could just post his performance with Elton John & his long lasting friendship with him & say the same thing, as if it isn’t obvious that a lot of what Eminem said was to wind people up & double down when people took the bait anyway.
