If they hadn't said anything and no album was announced we'd all be moaning that there's no album and "how has he not made a new album by now" or "they could at least keep us in the loop as to what's happening." Now they've told us, people are still moaning. I totally get the "bad marketing" thing but Dre said "later this year". That's a span of 9 or so months. If he'd said "soon", then that's a different story and we'd have the right to moan if it didn't come within the next 2/3 months.

Its been constant hype and clues that make people think something is coming and it never does. Now everyone here thinks it will be either May/June and I'm sure It will be a bunch more Ls!
