That's why it's perceived as a bit harsher and harder to get universal acclaim on, because it's more of a true representation of overall opinions on something... Wheras Rotten T just categories into 'good' and 'bad' (fresh and rotten) and the rotten score is a percentage of good scores. So you could have 9 6/10's (all technically just about in the good column) and 1 0/10, and in reality there you've got something rated... average by almost everyone, and bad by a few. So overall, you should perceive that as p bad / average, but it would show like 90% on RT, so you perceive it as great.

Person C: Side B is his best project in years! 10/10! Person D: Side B has the most replay value for me. 8/10. RT gives you the most important information, namely whether a person liked it or not. f--- the numbers in their heads. They are random.

Person A: Kamikaze, ehhh, I dunno. it's better than his last few. But, ehh. 6/10 Person B: has its flaws but it's not bad 6/10 Person C: it's trash. 2/10 Person D: It's above average. Just about. 6/10. None of those are great ratings. Yet that would show as universally acclaimed lol. Wheras the true reflection of that is slightly above mixed. So Meta would take those weighted scored n give it, f---in, 58/100 or w.e Which is far more accurate to the overall sentiment you'd see there.
