I don’t really care for Killshot for example but it was responding to everything he said on Rap Devil. Stacking up on songs, and then replying with them a minute later that has no relevance to the song is not a win in my opinion.
Apr 13, 2024 Rap Devil was a direct diss to Eminem. This Drake track is addressing a lot of people, not just Kendrick. It’s more of a warning shot than an actual diss track, much like J. Cole’s “7 Minute Drill” (except Cole was way kinder to Kendrick than Drake on that song). It’s Kendrick’s turn to drop an actual diss track, then Drake responds to that.
