Mar 30, 2024 Aside from a few songs, Mr. Morale clearly wasn’t made with the intent to be replayed every single day. It’s just not that type of album. It’s a therapy session, it’s heavy subject matter, it’s a lot to unpack. It’s a piece of art you occasionally glance at, and then on rare occasions you decide to go up to it and really analyze it once again. Mr. Morale is one of my favorite albums ever. Most of my favorite albums are albums I don’t revisit often. It makes that revisit all the more special, as if I’m listening to it again for the first time. The music I’m listening to often isn’t always necessarily my favorite music, rather it’s music that’s easy to listen to in the moment.

I used to say he was better than Cole & Drake
Mar 30, 2024 TPAB was the album that made me appreciate music in a different way. It was the first time I knew I wasn’t listening to something I would have replayed a lot but I knew it would have been stucked in my head forever because of the music, the theme, the overall experience. Something that I have felt with Mr. Morale too even tho I know it’s a worse album that TPAB. GKMC and d--- are of course the Kendrick albums that I play the most. TLDR: Kendrick to me is an incredible artist and an incredible gift to rap and music.

Mar 30, 2024 Couldn’t have said it better, I haven’t gone back to the album in full in awhile besides some songs like N95 and Die Hard. Nobody is listening to We Cry Together constantly but that’s not the point of the song. How many people are listening to Darkness daily? That’s one of my fav Em songs ever but I don’t listen to it everyday compared to a song like Without Me or Godzilla that I could listen to everyday if I wanted to. Mr Morale is just full of songs that you can’t really take in every single day and that’s fine because you still get songs that are a good listen daily like i previously said with N95 and Die Hard
