Jan 17, 2024 doesn’t surprise me. being on a set again like that probably brought back a lot of memories. addiction is a slippery slope and who knows what might trigger someone who’s constantly teetering on the edge the way he likely is. picture coming within 10 minutes of your life and continuing to strive to be the best in the very same culture that brought you there, knowing you can never allow yourself to be tempted again. must be brutally difficult tbh. alaina once told me on ig she would never go into show business after witnessing what it did to him. i can’t even imagine what it’s like always judging how much to and not to be a part of that life. so if exiting the series is what he needs to do for his mental stability then so be it i suppose on an somewhat related note, i pray to god that on this doomsday track, and the new album, he finally drops this monotonous, droning delivery he’s been obsessed with post-revival. it makes it seems like he doesn’t even care about what he’s saying. it’s very difficult to enjoy or even listen to. everyone complained about the yelling on recovery/hts and the double timing on lp2 and the multisyllabics on xv/sp and the sonic experimentation on revival, but at least there’s emotion and originality there. i’d take any of those instead of the one-note delivery he’s been using since the kamikaze era began. it’s a shame because that 2 chainz remix is one of his best verses ever. wish he would quit thinking so hard and just follow his emotions and instincts again
Jan 17, 2024 I have a feeling Doomsday Part 2 is gonna go hard. At the very least it’ll be better than the first part… that song didn’t really work for me even though I like Juice and Cordae. They just didn’t sound good over that beat imo.

Jan 17, 2024 To be fair I only listened to it once or twice. I’ll relisten to it when the lyrical lemonade album comes out and maybe I’ll like it better. Juice and Cordae are good spitters, maybe it was just weird for me because I’m used to hearing Eminem on that beat
