Jan 3, 2024 I really want an album that leans heavily into one particular sound. With the albums that do that, like SSLP, or Relapse, or Kamikaze, the cohesion is good not just for its own sake, but also because it means Em found a sound that inspired him enough that he didn't get bored of it, he must've made dozens and dozens of songs in that style and kept returning to it, and you know with that kind of inspiration he's gonna put out something good. Not that the more diverse sounding albums can't be good, but right now especially, the worst case scenario is for Em to put out an album that he just phoned in and wasn't interested in. So I'm hoping for a very consistent sound, whatever it is.
