Oct 15, 2023 I made it fit just fine on my modified TES (which I imagine is closer to what DN era Eminem had in mind, before he cucked and turned into that pompous poof on Business, When the Music Stops etc). No way. I hear a cross between the My Dad's Gone Crazy voice and Fight Music with no trace of Encore in there.

He was experimenting and expanding what a rap hook could be for one, I mean if you look at hooks like 'White America'... nobody had done hooks like that, made it big and dramatic and bypassing his lack of singing ability... stretching it out and still making it feel big like that, he was coming up with interesting techniques which hadn't been done before. Doesn't really get enough credit for s--- like that tbh. I'd say the only slip TES showed was artistically. Musically it was a leap forward. Just, less bold artistically, and it was partly due to - and the beginning of his self-obsession, yeah he rapped about himself and life stories and experiences on SSLP & MMLP, but he turned it into art like 97 Bonnie & Clyde, amazing storytelling concept and such a unique device of using baby talk to talk to his daughter and hilariously describe f----- up violence like that... TES was the beginning of 'wahh me, wah me me me' and just making everything literalism.
