Aug 22, 2023 I have a recurring dream that there was an album between Revival and Kamikaze, which was more of a leak/random release from the vault with a bunch of songs on it, at least 30, and most of them were very bare-bones, almost unfinished, but clearly superior to Revival and kind of paving the way for Kamikaze. It felt most like King Mathers, but with Em's current voice. I've had this dream like 3 times and have really made myself wish it actually existed.
Aug 22, 2023 I'm not talking about the past few years, but ever since his 'comeback' Like, Relapse he was flowing like water yet people complained about the accents and corny subjects. Then he switched his style to Recovery, which was more mature content (well, half of it) but people complained about the punchlines and screaming. Then he got into the technical rapping s--- on MMLP2. And since then he kinda sticked with that even if he made changes to it. And I also think he doesn't do that on all songs. Plenty of examples where he raps more calm. Even his most recent feature. For the record I'm one of the people that hates his fast rappity rap s--- the most so whenever he does that I will complain about it too. But you kinda confirmed what I meant.. he's been doing the same stuff for years now (w some changes, hits and misses) so if someone doesn't like any of it, its better to give up. He's not magically gonna do something completely different. But to act like its all terrible yet still say 'I hope his next album will be a classic!!' Thats creating false expectations.
Aug 22, 2023 But it’s always true. Relapse had accents and lacked content for most of the album, and he yelled in Recovery and had pop hooks. Then things got way worse after. Now he can have a f----- up flow, weird ad libs like this last feature, rap fast for no reason, yell, childish songs, dad jokes, too technical and forgetting it’s supposed to sound good too,… you never know what you’re getting.
