Aug 10, 2023 Yeah for someone who allegedly studies hip-hop religiously he sure is strangely always out of creative ideas & is too busy featuring the worst artists possible for a hip-hop veteran & nerd of the game lol RA got: MOP, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Kool G Rap, Atmosphere, AFRO, Dj Jazzy Jeff, Chris Rivers, Chino XL, Brand Nubian, Ice T, Onyx, Immortal Technique, Vinnie Paz & Chuck D! Eminem chooses: Black Thought once & no one else but Royce, s--- rappers & pop stars for the last 15 years ::::::: Angelic Boy or Darkness?
Aug 10, 2023 He's been scared to take risks since revival, when the subject matter had nothing to do with the hate I think, it was just a s-----y sounding album h---, even kamikaze is proof of that, even though I like it, I can't deny it's the old "angry slim shady" s--- with a little bit of modern sound to it
Aug 10, 2023 I agree, but it’s some p---- s---. He’d rather sell out & make pop rap than collab with artists he apparently studies? Odd behaviour. It was funny he said on Lucky You that he has it all so why not take risks & then made 3 albums of essentially the same content & sound.
Aug 10, 2023 Definitely p---- s---, I agree, but what are you gonna do about it? he might be too old to find his second wind this time, not that I hated any of the last 3 albums but they felt so "ok" for an Em album that it's kind of underwhelming (totally hate the pop bs tho, those kinda nights and such s---) h---, I find myself replaying relapse a lot more than anything from revival up to now
Aug 10, 2023 I just listen to other music, that’s why whether he releases or not matters very little to me, cos his music isn’t captivating anymore. I’ve grown out of it & it’s become repetitive more than ever. I thought with Kamikaze he was back in his groove but it’s clear that he’s only inspired when he’s on the back foot/personally attacked & if he receives positive feedback he’ll run something into the ground till even his least critical fans are fed up of it. The Paul Skit became true after all, he’s spent 3 albums replying to replies. It’s a shame with all that talent that it can’t be channeled into something greater, I think that’s what keeps a lot of us around, the expectation that he manages to hone it in the next time/one last time, that or Stockholm Syndrome lol
