Jul 19, 2023 This is why I only look at sales as a fun number to predict and sometimes compare with other artists. Once you start using sales in arguments it just becomes an annoying d-ck measuring contest where you’re not even measuring your own d-ck.
Jul 19, 2023 You know this site was posting Em's streams weekly as archivements and to show he was still relevant and liked. So they can't act like they don't care if he debuts under 1 or 2 artists again lol. Em's not who he used to be, and they don't promote the projects or build anticipation, so yeah, these artists we are talking about, are a problem for Em, it is what is is Even with bundles back, since they ship them like half a year after
Jul 19, 2023 The fact that some of these guys are hypocritical doesn’t surprise me at all. I don’t keep track of who cares about sales or not though. Their opinions on if sales matter or not could’ve changed. We’ll have to see what they do with Eminem’s new album. Of course Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and Travis Scott would outsell Eminem first week. We’re comparing newer, poppin artists to a rapper who’s been doing this for a long time and is way past his prime while only releasing surprise albums now. The fact that Eminem is even still in this conversation is impressive in its own right. Plus, Eminem sells better in the long run these days rather than first week. This doesn’t mean he has to avoid the whole months of August or September. Just avoid the weeks that Olivia and Drake drop. Also Eminem, his team, and his fans shouldn’t be upset if his album doesn’t go number 1. Nobody stays on top forever. Drake’s already starting his fall off too.
Jul 19, 2023 I wouldn't count on it, Em's a guy that can flop, or have a great month. It depends. He could easily drop the biggest rap album this year. Doubt he would even try these days though. It's not about staying on top, it's about underperforming for no reason, it's like Shady Records lol, Em and Paul don't even care about that s---
Jul 19, 2023 Nonsense. You're obsessed with something about which you have no clue. Eminem is clearly done with the public eye and selling himself across the country for a few streams and sales. He did that 20 years ago when it mattered, and his legacy was not established. Why would he be bothered about some pop singers who won't sell in the long run, be relevant, or have the longevity he has in the future? I know you’re thick Marsh, but don’t be a r-----.
Jul 19, 2023 I remember explicitly calling out Minato for doing that. You’re so consoomer brained you’re bragging about another man’s success
Jul 19, 2023 I wish Eminem truly didn’t care about sales, then he could actually take more risks. The fact that he put out a second hits compilation that nobody asked for alone proves he cares about sales to some extent still. He even used his sales to flex on MGK. No 50 year old man should be this obsessed about what everyone else thinks.
Jul 19, 2023 He was doing it 10 years ago You think releasing terrible guest verses isn’t damaging his career lol that’s way worse than me wanting Em back for real. He’s too old to tour, but not too old to do things right
Jul 19, 2023 Underground artist who won’t blow up so he doesn’t care about sales or mainstream rapper. Pick one. Or just bump Nas Friday, he’s a combination of both these days.
Jul 19, 2023 lol dude was almost crying when Revival flopped. That was a stab to the heart of the old man he takes it personal
Jul 19, 2023 Come on bro, stop it. Eminem definitely cares. He even complained about his declining sales on Stepping Stone
Jul 19, 2023 A mainstream artist is supposed to be doing good, that’s why Shady artists don’t fit on the label at all. 50 and Obie did.
Jul 19, 2023 I think he cares more about the critisism than sales. Not that he doesn't care about sales. I'm sure he does. But things like Curtain Call 2 is 100% a Paul/label idea.
