Jul 10, 2023 I’d say they’re actually way more excited than they were 4 years ago. To me, it felt like the hype around Eminem was majorly dying up until the Super Bowl Halftime show. He didn’t put out a solo album for 4 years. Then, he comes back with those a capella freestyles and Revival which most people hated. Finally, he put out surprise albums 3 times in a row that performed worse each time. Aside from the initial surprise release, that plan isn’t exactly conducive to excitement. The Super Bowl, CC2, and TikTok have been really helping him. It reminded people that he exists and brought in new fans, especially of the younger generation. With the surprise releases, a lot of people didn’t even know he was putting out new music. Now they know again and are looking forward to it.
