Jan 31, 2023 Actually I think it’s f----- up to keep comparing his newer s--- to The Eminem Show cause that s--- is untouchable
Jan 31, 2023 While I think this view is a bit overly and unrealistically pessimistic, you are right to some degree. A lot of the issues we are facing and will continue to face are because parents don’t take care of their kids anymore. They give the kid an iPad and let the internet raise them. With that kind of neglect, mental illness and the inability to handle jobs and the real world is almost an inevitability.
Jan 31, 2023 Things are already pretty degenerate, I’m not sure how much worse it could get. It could get worse though, I mean we already have weirdos pushing for pedophilia and cannibalism. Anything is possible I guess
Jan 31, 2023 Anyone ever listen to Cal Scruby? Just came across him on spotify he has a few decent tracks. Reminds me of jack harlow but good
Jan 31, 2023 Yes, I have heard of Cal Scruby! He's an up-and-coming rapper who's been gaining popularity for his unique flow and style. I agree, he does have a few catchy tracks that have a similar vibe to Jack Harlow, but with a distinct sound that sets him apart. Have you listened to any of his other songs besides the ones on Spotify? It might be worth checking out more of his music!
Jan 31, 2023 2010 don’t feel like 13 years ago. But if time was a Test, Eminem would pass with flying colors…. Like he tossed his crayons. (Get it?)
Jan 31, 2023 I can’t believe how many people compare his new stuff to old. If you take any artist in any genre and compare what they’re making 20 years after their prime is just ridiculous. Honestly, Eminem Is hanging in there with this current generation. And that’s remarkable. He is still breaking records, still chopping charts and still making music. Would people rather have a revival album every year for 4 years or side A/B every 4…
Jan 31, 2023 I mean Nas still sounds pretty much the same but on better beats and fresher, Lil Wayne kept pretty much the same style and he's dope even tho he has some poppy weird features that s---, Jay Z still sounds the f---ing same to the point where it becomes annoying but he's still great. Listening to eminem now feels like a total different rapper, and that's not necessarily good just cause he changed his style a lot. I like new em btw
Jan 31, 2023 Black Thought, Andre 3000, RA. The Rugged Man, Nas, Pusha T, Lloyd Banks, Lupe Fiasco, Wayne, Mos Def, Jay, MF DOOM, Lowkey, Tech, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz etc this is just in hip-hop off the top of my head that all have careers spanning 15+ years that make music that rival their initial outputs at the other end of their discographies I’m sick of hearing these excuses
Jan 31, 2023 None of them have made albums anywhere close to as good, or as big as Eminem Show Or MMLP though. Certified classics in music that transcended a moment in time, in music. All the artists you mentioned have made good to great music through out their careers, but nothing groundbreaking. Eminems prime is on another level to any of them, so if he’s making good to great music like he has since those two classics, then that will feel like a huge drop off, because of just how great those two albums were. Why to me you shouldn’t compare his music because he was on another level. It’s only fair to compare him since Relapse, to now imo.
Jan 31, 2023 By big do you mean sales or cultural relevance? Also saying they never made an album as good as those is hyper subjective cause a lot of the artists listed have unequivocal classics
