Feb 5, 2022 I don’t hate revival, I just think it’s his weakest work which isn’t really a bad thing to say considering the rest of his discography. The production and features on revival let it down a bit but it’s best songs are fucken fantastic (walk on water, believe, framed, in your head, caste, arose) I do think recovery’s filler songs are a lot stronger than revival’s however.
Feb 5, 2022 Energy and optimism on Recovery are nice but It is overwhelming as a whole to me. His delivery is the same on every song. But I do feel like going back to It in some smaller doses from time to time. Recovery and MMLP 2 are Em's classic albums whether some of us like It or not.

Just some of the fillers on revival like heat, need me and remind me I just think are so sub bar for his standards especially now after seeing what he did on MTBMB. All a matter of opinion though, it’s all good

Feb 5, 2022 Well, It is his last fully artistic piece that he did just because he needed to. After that he would never do anything coherent and the most important for him would be what everybody else wanted. Relapse is interesting and creative way of expressing the nightmare his addiction was. Instead of a straightforward whining. For example, Em mentions being hungry after taking the pills. In Relapse, his psycho character mentions his hunger for human flesh numerous times. Good concept and execution. Even if (according to Em himself) improvised.
