Aug 3, 2021 Well yeah obviously. But I’m talking good songs in his prime that are still considered classic prime Em, compared to songs now. Going Through Changes, Deja Vu, The Ringer, Arose, Darkness etc. These are great songs that have no problem being compared to his general prime stuff. Of course, top 5 prime vs top 5 post-hiatus, the former would win. After all, it’s literally his prime. The only song that could genuinely displace my top 5 would be The Ringer. It’s probably worthy of being number one, imo, but never will for me probably purely based on nostalgia of other songs etc.

We can all feel there has been this slight towards Em since 2017. Now. It’s social media so let’s take it with a grain of salt. Em did a billion or something according to Spotify but still. You can feel the respect of Em has been tainted. Part because of him yes but, cmon.

I wish I could still enjoy his stuff as much as you do. Darkness was actually a great song with a great concept. But his delivery, again, took away some of the enjoyment.
Aug 3, 2021 I get what you're saying but just because Em is accomplished and has done great things, it doesn't mean he should be nominated for things he doesn't deserve. As a fan you might think he deserves to get praised continuously but from a non biased listener's point of view, his music has been pretty average. Pretty bad to some. I'm not sure what you mean by Eminem has been slighted. He's one of the most decorated rappers. Constantly being praised by his peers and fans alike. If anyone has been slighted, it's the rappers releasing great music but still not getting the recognition they deserve. Em is the greatest selling hiphop artist of all time. How the f--- is he getting slighted? Lol
Aug 3, 2021 No I don’t want Em to get praised for whatever. My thing has always been about his legacy. People made it seem like it’s forever tarnished and no matter what he does it’ll be trash. Like, people heard “The Ringer”, “Not Alike”, “ Chloraseptic RMX”, “MTBMB”, “Zeus”, “Gnat”, etc and still fix their face to say: “Eh. Trash” Lol. I get it. Music is subjective but, cmon man. But, that’s my point. Even some people on this site that question his legacy. Acting like it’s been a decade of “Touchdown” and “Taking my ball” verses. Lol
