Jan 20, 2022 Revival would have got sh---ed on if it was a surprise release. Bad album is bad album, doesn’t matter what the rollout would have been. If MTBMB came out the same way Revival did, would have got praised like how it did because it’s good. Surprise or quick release drops happen because it’s all about streaming and there be more stream numbers. A traditional rollout doesn’t work now as everyone is streaming music. So first week sales or overall don’t matter as much , so it’s pointless doing something that is outdated. Just moving with the times.
