Jan 17, 2022 I love how they always completely mishear everything, but still think it's a bar lmao (talking about these guys specifically)
Jan 17, 2022 I wanna know what Em was thinking when he picked songs like Remind me, heat, and Offended. Was he just like They will love these Horribly produced songs. He could cut like 6 or 7 tracks off that album and it would be so much better.
Jan 17, 2022 This will probably be the shittiest take ever. I'll own it. But I've always felt Em picked that kind of song so he wouldn't be outrapped by Kendrick, or even risk being outrapped. I think he felt inferior to Kendrick at that particular time so he chose something lame and light-weighted on purpose when neither of those two artists are known for songs like that.
Jan 17, 2022 Being an artist is more than that. You can be a rapper, you can be a hip hop artist sure, but unless you're an artist with a look and style you may as well be soundcloud rapper cause you're not f---in blowing. I'm not talking about SH as a sound or as a group, I'm simply talking about why and how they didn't blow up, even if they are good rappers.
Jan 17, 2022 They didn’t “blow up” because they tried the Eminem Recovery formula & they weren’t suited for it. None of them were working on music together during the Shady debut sessions, so it was all stitched together & it sounded that way, nothing to do with the clothes they were wearing….
Jan 17, 2022 To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the song ‘Heat’ off of Eminem’s ninth studio album - Revival. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical listener’s head. There's also Eminem’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into the lyrics - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Heat truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Eminem’s existential catchphrase "I ask does she want a computer lodged in her vagina, said my d-ck is an apple, she said put it inside her" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Marshall Mathers’ genius wit unfolds itself into their sound systems. What fools.. how I pity them.
