Jan 17, 2022 The “percent of” “I did it” scheme on in your head is some of the most shameful s--- I’ve heard from someone who claims to be a lyricist Jesus Christ how does anyone accept this
Jan 17, 2022 It feels more like theres so much vague/abstract horror core themes that he was able to throw them all together and call it a concept. It genuinely feels like a bunch of songs each about a random horrorcore tale, horrocore can be good and I definitely see the appeal if you like that sorta stuff, but even for horrocore this thing isn't that great conceptually/cohesively.
Jan 17, 2022 I almost didn't finish listening to "in your head" the first time I listened to revival, that flow sounds like a f---ing printer or fax machine or something
Jan 17, 2022 Honestly I can't f--- with the rock songs on Revival, the instrumental is deadass the same with maybe some added drums. It feels so lazy
Jan 17, 2022 The second verse has good content but its one of the most unlistenable verses ever to me HAAAILEEY BABYYYY Ugh
Jan 17, 2022 For revival I’m not really sure what’s wrong with his flow just seems off for some reason ? Almost like all those songs were acapella and they just threw a beat over it .in my head could’ve been great but that flow is horrible . Not every song is a miss Walk on water 3rd verse on believe Castle and arose And maybe even framed are nice but the rest just seems forced
Jan 17, 2022 Doing a full 180, a song that people seemed to like that I didn't like on Revival was Framed. What do yall see in this track? Like I don't even think the hook is that wack, it just feels "off" to me, like it's incomplete, unfinished, could've conceptually been better
Jan 17, 2022 For real I was always pissed he didn’t do a song after or before that track explaining what events took placed and why he’s being “frames
Jan 17, 2022 To be fair there isn't a lot of "great" horrorcore out there to compare it to and say it's better ? Except for rappers like Hospin & Tyler who actually came out and said their Fav Em album was Relapse and it inspired them. Tech N9ne has a few good ones as well
Jan 17, 2022 It's hard to hear unless you pay attention, but listen to the first 15 seconds of Believe real quick. His voice lands PERFECTLY on the snares, yet the flow is kinda f---ing trash. It's technically proficient, but it's kinda a---. Revival was peak "technically good, sonically a---" flow.
Jan 17, 2022 i think because people assume it was tacked on to finish the song while the other two verses are from 2002. personally i don't believe that, em couldn't replicate his prime voice that well by 2006, he was deep in that drugged out drawl.
