Feb 17, 2025 That's fair tbh, lot of people agree with you. I think the band as a whole as gotten tighter and better at what they do but the sound is quite different, even This Is Why while having some more rock energy on a lot of the tracks leaned heavier into a mix between British Post Punk influence mixed with Hayley's solo albums so it's still a lot different from the pop punk stuff they used to do. I wish they'd go back to that sound a bit but I'm happy with where they're at, I just hope they put out music more consistently considering the band is actually in a good place for the first time since its inception lmao. Self Titled is interesting to me cause I don't go back to it super often but every time I do I remember that it's still very good, one of the most consistent bands in the genre by a long shot. Need them to start touring again now that I have disposable income lmao

Feb 17, 2025 That's what I can appreciate about it, I didn't enjoy most of those projects but I never thought "what the f--- is this s---?", it was more of a "I get it, but it's not my thing", besides, I can always go back to the old s--- without having it ruined by them retreading it ad nauseam
