Oct 28, 2024 Agreed. I still think a Music video run of Houdini, Antichrist, and Guilty Conscience 2 would have been more thematic. Houdini as the 2024 Without Me, Antichrist with a video like Real Slim Shady/My Name is, and then end the era with Guilty conscience 2 with a video like Guilty conscience/ Forgot about Dre. If they all had the cinematic quality as Houdini MV, it probably would have gone down as his best era of music videos since Eminem show or relapse tbh
Oct 28, 2024 Agreed. Tobey is such an Album track, it sequenced on the album good being towards the end and showing 3 generations of Detroit rap. But it’s not single material. Also Em should have gotten another few bars off, Big Sean verse was so long. Even tho it was good, it was like more then half the song lol
Oct 28, 2024 Somebody save me just hit number 1 on Billboard rap digital chart. I’m suprised this song is still doing well, it must be massive on radio or something, and that’s why more of the general public is streaming/buying it on iTunes.

I don't really get worked up about single choices, etc. now though, because it's been very apparent for a long time now he/his team don't care (or need to) care about what's best for promo/sales etc. I think it's been pretty clear over his last three or so projects (counting MTBMB as one) that he's doing this s--- for a hobby now. He doesn't care about what's best for business because he doesn't need to.

Oct 29, 2024 Yeah and just carrying the theme is all he should care about at this stage. Houdini was a beautiful feeling, great song, perfect opener.... Tobey eh but wouldn't have minded if he then followed up with antichrist and gc2. To not have a gc2 vid for the concept is a crime.
