Jul 14, 2024 I love the nostalgia but he def has his cake and eats it too. He avoids certain topics and words , intentionally, and it’s certainly calculated controlled “shady” why k--- shady? There was no need . side A and side B was the end result from this album. It would make sense if this album was after Kamikaze. Also a concept album doesn’t mean you say the first word of the next track right before it ends. GC2 could have ended the album. He should have realized he'd never match Arose and Castle, so he could have done a new concept Hallie song like Shady going back and forth with "Em" Shady could be talking about putting Kim in a trunk of a car and Em rapping about dancing with her at her wedding. Those songs tacked on at the end could have been "shady-ized" to fit the concept of the album.
Jul 14, 2024 Slim climbs out of the grave in that trailer. Also the murder mystery thing , something isnt making sense and not in the usual shady records type way. Now the steve berman skit? Could he pull off what he wanted to do with relapse all them years ago and do a double album ? f--- i hope so. First half off this album is godly and renaissance could have been the modern day rabbit run if he kept it going for another minute and a half. Shame about that but oh well. The second half of the album i appreciate way more but it definetly isnt as good as the first. Somebody save me is terrible though and ill never like it, not because of the content just everything about it bad way to close the album.

Jul 14, 2024 I think Jelly Roll's parts in Somebody Save Me called for something more like Sing For The Moment. He could have gone that way with it. Specially since he talks about inspiring hope on Tobey.
Jul 14, 2024 I swear this might be the best part of the album flow/rhyme scheme wise. The switch from Em to Shady is like Shady soon blocked Em's speech just to remember he's the reason why Em's so huge, but keeping the same rhyme scheme with that flow is fckin impeccable, jeez That's how we end up in these quagmires You said you had my back, liar But I helped you get your stacks higher (Yeah) That's diamond sales like sapphires Rap buyers, admires pack lines of admirers Now they say you lack ire That's why your satire backfires (Yeah) Flat tires, no longer that guy you were prior to this
Jul 14, 2024 It feels that way because despite sounding the most confident since TES/MTBMB and incredible beats, the concept thing was confusing. Only 4 songs seem to move the "plot" along, it feels like an ADD mess, and then the end of the album with the random songs... confusing would be the word to describe the album. If we are going to play along with the storyline, didn't he "k---" shady in the Houdini video/song and it resulted in the hybrid Em/Shady? So... wasn't he around for the next skit and song? Feels like he's just bad at making a concept album, stuff was scrapped, or a lot is missing. I agree.
