Jul 7, 2024 I know it's an Em forum, but a lot of modern features didn't work because of how he chose to use them. Alicia Keys has one of the greatest voices of our generation, can generate really emotion, has shown she can work on a rap song, and is a hit maker. But gets put on some copy and paste pop rap song. Skylar Grey, made her name through being a hit maker song writer, and having a bit of a haunting and different voice. So gets put on comedy hooks or is asked to shout on distorted effects. Beyonce is the biggest female star in the world, soulful voice, hit maker, works on rap songs. But gets used for a spoken poetry song with heaving breathing and no drums. Kendrick is arguably the best rapper of this generation, known for lyrics and substance. So gets put on a f--- about song about blowjobs and clingy women. All these people can work, but if this is their pitch, you say no thanks. If it's your pitch, you're using them wrong. Bar a few names, if you look at features and go in to panic, you're actually probably more worried about how Em has chosen to use them than about what the person could bring to the right song.

Jul 7, 2024 As far as getting on an Em album, he's never got a better chance than now. Finally getting his flowers after winning best album. Also we know Ems gripes with the Grammy's, so I'm assuming he'd have loved someone like Mike getting the nod. Can only hope.
