Jul 5, 2024 There's nothing in it which is remotely difficult to understand, and which isn't obvious on first listen lol. It's probably just bc we've heard this s--- a gazillion times. I even thought beforehand, 'welp, gonna be another Em verse about his place in rap, how he came up, overcame odds, with some puns'... the only bit which I was (pleasantly) surprised by was no 'fast rap' part to 'outdo' the others. But the verse is exactly what I imagined... It's good, nice flow, all that... but it's so predictable and repeitive too. He's been writing the same fkn verse on repeat for at least 4 years. Talk about self-obsessed. So, people are probably not pouring over it or breaking it down bc they're so used to everything he said in it.
