    Seriously?LTWYL sold 12 million as a single of course it’s what made Recovery so Popular!
    Look at the anticipation of the video for that track dropping on YouTube,at the time it broke the single day viewing record for a YouTube video.
    The hype alone from LTWYL made Recovery sell so much and all the Rihanna fans who bought the album.

    Okay so if that's your theory on what sells albums, in recent times especially...

    Explain how there could be so many albums which have big singles but sell like dog s---?

    Example, B.o.B's "Adventures of Bobby Ray" - two HUGE no.1 worldwide singles. Similar situation to Recovery but on a smaller scale... "Airplanes" sold 6 million. And yet... the album? It sold 84k first week.

    Singles don't sell albums. Maybe with pop artists where the entire genre is way more focused on being an album full of hits, sure. But we see time and time again that rarely work for hip-hop. Rappers sell when fans are interested in the rapper.

    Just how like J. Cole moves half a milli first week with no big single and no features.

    It's bs. Eminem sells like f--- because people want to hear the album. He'll always have that big first week, depending of course on title, intruige and promotion... and then long-term sales determined by how deep & appealing the content is.

    I hope Deluxe has 2-3 rap features tho.

    Because they make hella cash from the singles themselves?...

    They can also do a lot with hit singles in the long-run in terms of licensing, like they did with "Not Afraid" at sports promos and s---, and "Won't Back Down" in various action trailers. They're money grabs and long-term money makers. Doesn't mean they sell the albums.
