    Because if he doesn’t sell millions of albums he loses money it’s just that simple!
    Em no longer makes albums for good music he uses pop hooks to gain more sales than if he just did solo stuff.
    It’s the Em of the last 7 years and he ain’t going to change anytime soon

    I don't believe the pop features are what sells his albums. Nobody buys albums for fkn singles, what is this 2001? That would have been a more relevant strategy, ironically, for MMLP era.

    This is the online era, singles era... any way. So if he has a huge broad song... It's huge by itself, I don't believe that shifts his albums.

    I think Recovery sold like it did due to the content. Relapse and it had similar 1st week sales - Relapse then died off quickly because it was what it was content & style wise. Recovery however is broader appealing, no accent, emotional content yada yada.

    I don't believe Eminem fans especially buy his albums due to singles, nor even a casual listener. He's very much an album artist. He made his name on albums. People look for the albums, even people who hate him - that's what sells - not fkn Rihanna or Pink.
