well, i interpreted this thread as who was better at their peak. to me, that's eminem. i think he was one of the best ever during his prime.

if you're saying kanye has a better collection of albums when all their albums are taken into account, i'm OK with that. but discographies aren't the best way to compare artists because some artists have two albums and others have 4454545 albums.

i mean s--- prince has 30 albums and fell off years ago, but during the 80's he was one of the best artists i've ever heard regardless of genre

You didn't understand what I meant.
A rapper is a music artist, but music artist is much more large than a rapper. Rap is a category of music. The best rap artist means the one who is a rapper but makes the best music. (So that means flow+ text+ message+ beats+ production+ innovation) while the best rapper it's the one who has the best flow+ text+ message.

English isn't my language so I know I'm not very clear sometimes.

I mean Kanye is a better song writer than Eminem in 2015. He's more charasmatic, interesting, h---, even more controversial & that's supposed to be apart of Em's whole persona. Kanye is a better rapper than Eminem right now, no matter which way you try to look at it.

Well, in that case we have exactly the same opinion tough we expressed it in different ways.

But eminem in his prime was purely on a rap level (flow+ text) better than Kanye ever was, and when you add the fact that Kanye used ghostwriters the biggest part if his career, I think there is no denying to that.
