So this is really shocking tbh and quite poor Really puts into perspective just how big Em is 20 years into his career, outselling the biggest artists of today with a surprise album with no promo. Nov 6, 2020 Where do I start Positions is dope, it's number 1 right now. Perfect single and video. When it comes to the album, she said she didn't want to make another album full of hits, she just wanted to sing more this time. And it obviously didn't go well. But pop albums don't sell like that anymore, even though Halsey went platinum faster than Em thanks in part to her number 1 single. Rap is the new pop music, when it comes to hits, and also when it comes to sales.

Nov 6, 2020 MMLP2 is a good album. It was arguably his worst album title for an album though. Call that album almost anything else and it would be way more well received.
Nov 6, 2020 You wouldn't count everything 2013-2017 as MMLP2 era tho would you? XV/Southpaw had Eminem doing things stylistically unique to those projects. Either way MTBMB isn't the "worst era," Friday Night Cypher and Moon Man alone prove that.
Nov 6, 2020 I don't even count those as MTBMB era. I feel like that era ended a long time ago. Pretty much after Godzilla video dropped. It's his worst era imo, and I'm talking solo projects. 0 promo. No interviews, no performances, nothing.

Nov 6, 2020 I'll agree that rap is the new pop. But you can't rap Pop doesn't sell like that or that Ariana just wanted to sing and all that. I mean, Taylor Swift just released an album with no hits per se. Just a good soft album. Got critically acclaimed and sold a LOT. Basically, people now just want good, different music it seems.

Nov 6, 2020 It was months after, this time. And he only shot 2 videos. And 0 performances. He didn't leave his house until 50's speech. And he went back to Detroit without promoting his album. He used to hide between albums, now he also hides when he drops them.
