Jan 3, 2021 When it comes to the DCU, I enjoyed: WW, Aquaman and Shazam. When it comes to TV last year: Ozark s3, Dark s3, The Queen's Gambit, The Mandalorian s2 and The Boys s2. I also still watch TWD universe series.
Jan 3, 2021 I'm watching the first episode of The Stand, and they playing the song sampled in Em's Going Thru Changes It's a show about a pandemic
Jan 3, 2021 I still have watch the boys s2 smh I’ve been slacking. I’m still in to just the walking dead, but I don’t know when its coming back. Just finished season 1 and 2 of the mandalorian this past week..
Jan 3, 2021 Fully agreed. Even tho I still do like the music 50 puts out, his sound hasn't changed much. That's probably why he hasn't had much success with it in the past decade. But he also has a lot of things going and is obviously not as focused on music like he once was. Tbh it doesn't seem like 50 is that passionate about music. It almost seems like it was a means to get rich and open other doors. He did have to love it at some point but he's clearly not as passionate about it as Em is.
Jan 3, 2021 dude im not fanatic, i have an opinion. I already said side b has some good music on there, But I prefer songs like this when its about the whole package. Man oh man. Nowadays you really get pilloried if you have a different opinion than the majority. I'm not like some other dudes trashing this album cause there also some good things about it.
Jan 3, 2021 I feel that happens because people feel you're stuck in a specific era. There are other members here who just won't accept anything that doesn't sound like X, Y or Z. Some are just constantly praying to get something like Relapse (there's a dude who 99% of the time just posts "RELAPSE 2 INCOMING", like literally all the f---ing time), some just want the old shock value Slim Shady, etc. I don't think people attack you just because you have a different opinion, but because sometimes it gets repetitive and tiring. At some point you'll have to accept that the version of Eminem you love the most is gone forever. His voice changed. His flow changed. His style changed. And while you might get some of that old vibe here and there from time to time, you won't be getting consistently because that's not who he is anymore. There's simply no point in expecting Eminem to come out with something like Quitter anymore. My 2 cents.
Jan 3, 2021 I just knew someone was going to send me this after I wrote what I wrote lol. I would hope a drunk royce wouldn’t be doing that in 2021. I no one drops diss records towards benzino
Jan 3, 2021 Jeff Bass during the interview talking about Em having about 50 tracks they were working on while he was on hiatus. 5-10 of those tracks were completed. Reeeally good s---. Amazing songs that the world has never heard he says. The rest had partial lyrics. d---, I hope one day we get to hear those songs. I'll take the vocals he used on "Beautiful" any day over some of the vocals he's used in recent years.
Jan 3, 2021 So apparently "Beautiful" was the last time Jeff Bass made a song with Eminem. They were both drugged in the studio when Em made that song. I honestly think Eminem would have never lost his flow or started picking weird habits with his vocals if he was still working with Jeff Bass.
Jan 3, 2021 It's such as shame that they parted ways and went through different roads. I will never understand why Em didn't reach out to him after Recovery, for MMLP2.
Jan 3, 2021 I might have misunderstood bu I thought Jeff was implying that Em's voice changed due to drugs and that's why he sounded so different on Beautiful. And that's probably why we'll never hear Em with that type of voice from the old era (aside that then obvious fact that he's older now, and obviously his voice would have changed anyways)-
Jan 3, 2021 Drugs and the sadness. But drugs don't magically change the way your voice sounds. On Careful What You Wish For I think he was sober and it sounds like his old self. We've heard glimpse of his old vocals in recent years so I doubt it has anything to do with him being older. Your voice doesn't change that drastically. It's more about the tone he chooses to rap with and the way it's produced imo.
Jan 3, 2021 Nah yo you got the right to an opinion man I was just sayin. There’s older stuff I like better too but I feel like this album was a step in the right direction for the current times.
