Dec 26, 2020 Book of rhymes is in song format, so it has more replay value. Now if you want to compare ringer to something. It’s obvious that should be compared to Alfreds themes since it’s structured exactly the same. Ringer is definitely better
Dec 26, 2020 I see what you're saying book of rhymes is my fav song from side b and it's a great one but I can't forget how it felt when I first listened to the ringer, that right there >>>>>>
Dec 26, 2020 For me, The Ringer is the best pure rap song from him since comeback, probably in his top 10 ever
Dec 26, 2020 That’s the whole reason why the last three were released as a surprise. While the most were hating on the revival before the album was out, he changed his mindset to „not saying anything about the album“
Dec 26, 2020 If revival was released as a surprise it would still be the most s-----y album he ever done
Dec 26, 2020 I hate this n----- lol. Is like askin' me where my shin is It's down right bologna (Down right below knee)
Dec 26, 2020 Lines about his mother telling him if he wasn't so stupid and ugly he wouldn't always get bullied are classic Shady humor. I can relate.
Dec 26, 2020 The feats he gave before M2BMB just announced that a bomb was coming. 2020 Em is flawless
Dec 26, 2020 Word but without Revival there would be no chloraseptic rmx , no kamikaze and no music to be murdered by !
Dec 26, 2020 Who tf from Eminem's time(1999 onwards) is still doing numbers even close to Eminem? Em's place now is of a legend. And it'll stay there irrespective of numbers/future music.
Dec 26, 2020 Incoming hot take: Is it time for Em to get back in POP game? With all these talks about sales and number 1s, do y’all want him back in the “LTWYL, Not Afraid, Monster” territory? You can’t have it both ways like MMLP and TES days. Good raps and still get the mainstream love. “TRSS”, “Stan”, and TWIA” aren’t geared towards chasing radio. Em was just so popular at that time it got put on radio Em will have to go back down that road if you want him back in the Top 40 conversation. One minute it’s too POP, next minute he needs to go back to POP? Is it time for him to go back to chasing the POP crowd? Me personally I say no, but, at the same time those songs keep the lights on unfortunately. Em probably never has to worry about money again but, still
Dec 26, 2020 God rap pop singles are something i've admired. They're hard to do, but done well, they are awesome. Humble, Middle Child, come to mind. Also, some good features should do the trick.
Dec 26, 2020 Lol. RAP IS POP NOW. You can't do huge numbers with some poppy hooks (females singing over beat like LTWYL, even back then the fact that Rihanna and Em collabrated for the first time helped it to be what it was, now s--- like that wouldn't do more than Walk on Water numbers). He has to promote a lot, he has to put Billie Elish or someone hugely popular today on his album and he has to push his trap songs a lot. B Side has many songs that sonically fits to blow up but unless he tries hard it's impossble. His stream numbers are high but he barely gets any attention out of his fans. Nobody knows he dropped nor they care. Let's say Side B had 50 million streams, I bet more than half of those are by same people which means there are like 20 million people at most who listens to his s---, he can't reach many, how do I know that ? Because except 3 -4 people in my 300 people list on Spotify, I haven't seen anybody listenin to his songs. But I think Em is happy with the current situation. He wanted fame and money but he never liked what fame actually bring his way, he is probably a lot more happy with less people checking him out, less is more in terms of quality. He doesn't need money at this point plus when he decides to tour or something, he'll break records lol. Em would definitely like to sell more but he doesn't care enough to do so, plus all the side effects of being popular never made him happy anyway...
