Dec 23, 2020 Why are some people upset if TSSLP gets moved to 4th? Plus, maybe it’s just me so I shouldn’t project, but, do y’all really go back to TSSLP? Again, no disrespect it’s a classic album. But, I mostly just hear about MMLP, TES, and his 2003-2004 run. h---, “Revival” gets more attention. Lol Sometimes I think this is about our love of the past as humans. Nostalgia. Again, not a bad album but I barely see it brought up which is why it moving to 4th shouldn’t be a issue. It’s about against 36 tracks which is shooting at a high 80% and mid 90% currently. Some would even say 99% even.
Dec 23, 2020 "'97 Bonnie & Clyde", "As the World Turns", the two "Don't Give a f---" tracks, "My Fault", "Brain Damage", "Rock Bottom" Just has too many high-tier songs to be beaten out so easily. Maybe you need to revisit SSLP?
Dec 23, 2020 I also love his tone with the corny puns. In comparison to before (“CALM BATMAN”) in which it sounded like he was dead serious about that being nice which........... it kind of is but, cmon. It’s like he’s in on the joke as he throws it out there a bunch of times before then hitting us with something crazy (Bowling sceme) This is why I can enjoy the corny ones more so now. He’s in on the joke in my opinion.
Dec 23, 2020 Idk how people can hear things like the key skit and think this man is being serious about his corny lines
Dec 23, 2020 At this point the corny punchlines are on purpose just to get a reaction from people. He said it himself on Crooked's Corner.
Dec 23, 2020 I was watching the VibesVilla reaction to the whole album and when they got to Key..... f--- they made me laugh my a--- off. Watching people thinking it's going to be an actual song and then be like "WHAT THE h--- IS THIS s---?" until they start laughing nervously, is so fun because I'm sure that's how I reacted the first time I listened to it.
Dec 23, 2020 I was so confused when I first heard it I could barely make out what he was saying cause I couldn't get over how he sounded like peewee herman lmao
Dec 23, 2020 The chickadeeeeees. That part nearly killed me. It was like 3AM (no pun) in here, and I think I woke up everyone in the neighborhood.
Dec 23, 2020 Ι was thinking that too, one of the things I like more about this album is that he presents all the funny lines as a joke and nothing more. Probably cause it feels like he is having fun also in those tracks. Actually the key may be the proof of that, it's like the funniest skit I've heard from him since forever..
Dec 23, 2020 Maybe our brains are wired differently but idk how people don't think that's not at least a little funny lol
Dec 23, 2020 Fantano ranks Eminem’s Darkness 28th best song of the year (all genres) it’s #1 on my list but it’s still nice to see the under appreciated song getting some props from the most followed music critic in the world
Dec 23, 2020 It’s like, idk is humor dead in Rap? You heard a review on Em’s recent work and the reviewer gets upset at a corny bar “OH MY GOD. Really? He said ____” And it’s like, really? You do know it’s on purpose right? Same with the Manchester bombing line. It’s to f--- with your senses a bit But yet they turn around and love every gun and drug reference by someone like said Conway. No disrespect to him because I f--- with the music. I just feel like ever since Em said something about Trump, the “Hate” got turned up a extra notch. It’s not objective when reviewing him
