Dec 23, 2020 I feel this needs to be said. People that are loving every little aspect of the project need to understand that people enjoy music discussions that involve critiquing. I know it’s the honeymoon phase of the release so people get defensive but just let people debate & stop throwing the guards up instantly. It’s music & a forum, discourse like this belongs here & people are here for exactly that. Also, to quickly add, if someone has an issue with part of the project & they’re expressing it, that doesn’t mean they hate the whole thing, that seems to get misconstrued too.
Dec 23, 2020 I get the discombobulated love because of it being a throwback track with the beat and hook. But album of it would be so uninteresting, he all ready been there and done that. Would just sound like a poor version of relapse if not fully committed to it. Framed and Discombobulated prove that for me, if you’re not going too fully invest in that kind of material from Relapse then it will just sound meh compared to the older material.Gnat is perfect example of him evolving as a artist and hope he takes it to the next level in future projects.

Him performing in front of sold out crowds over the years, newspaper clipping & video exceprts highlighting his rise and fall over the year and some BTS video footages from Revival, Kami and MTBMB era which are proving to be some of his important years and albums. It would be so f---ing perfect.

Dec 23, 2020 If I remember right Shady XV sounded terrible, like someone just pasted his vocals over the beat, turned them up, and did zero mixing lol. I've only listened to this a couple times so i haven't noticed anything particularly bad on side B

If Em had waited till the end of January to coincide with the anniversary of MTBMB and called this album MTBMB 2, had Higher and Zeus as first 2 singles and it would have sold s--- loads. To go up against Taylor and Paul is kinda idiotic from Rosenberg and Em. MTBMB went up against Halsey and Mac Miller.

As impressive as it is, a more honed in, focused Em that we have seen glimpses of over the course of both sides of MTBMB - would be ideal for the next chapter, if he wants to keep progressing. This run since Chloraseptic Remix has been the best since the initial run.
Dec 23, 2020 Absolutely awful production on ShadyXV. Die Alone hook, Fine Line vocals on all of it were dreadful, almost like they didn’t use any vocal compression whatsoever. Only the biggest rapper in the world would have these problems... The vocal mixing we’re talking about on Side B is mostly nuanced, if you’re not a producer nerd & simply don’t care, it’s unnoticeable.

Dec 23, 2020 Which makes me think: To the average listener, or casual Hip-Hop/Eminem listener, the more technical Em gets, the less interested they become. And it sucks. People want songs they can sing/rap to. They don't care about how advanced his craft has become far past any other rapper in History.
