Do you all remember his Instagram post to the critics who gave negative reviews of Kamikaze? ‘ No1 in 103 countries and 434 000 equivalent album units in the USA first week. Thanks for the support assholes!’ The fact that this album will likely not even do 100k of course it will hurt him.

Not in the least, Surprise album rollouts are not going to get sales, like really, at this point he doesnt need any of it, he's proven with the last 3 albums that he can drop in 5 minutes or 3 weeks and still attain the same attention, the reality of it is album sales arent anywhere near as prominent as they used to be, and Em is still probably earning enough money off of just MMLP and Eminem Show alone to be comfortable, I really don't think dropping an album and single on the same day is any focus on sales lol, from what I'm seeing all he's done is proven to everyone he'll get the attention without a word about anything, like hey watch this lol

Dec 23, 2020 If Interscope promoted/ hyped up Kamikaze like they did promote MMLP2 or Recovery, that album would have sold like 600k-700k+ first week easily. Kami was special, everybody wanted to know what Em would do after the Revival fiasco. edit: And I know that Em and Paul wanted it as a surprise drop.

Dec 23, 2020 So... You're opening a FULL track and judging the EQ by the waveforms? You do know that all the instruments of the beats are in there too, right?. The only ways to do it properly, would be: A )To have the vocal track without the beat. B ) To have the project file, so you could see the applied EQ and even mute the rest of the tracks. Personally, I love how well Em's vocals have been EQed and compressed on this album. Perfect. But what you are doing there is incorrect.
Dec 23, 2020 Of course he is. He mentions sales all the time. On Kamikaze. On Side A and now on Side B (I still get the bag when I'm putting garbage out /// I'm the best seller) as well.. And also, the competitive nature within Em wants to have it all: Fans saying it's his best work ever. Respect from the Culture/other rappers. Critics writing positive reviews. And selling it like mad, breaking records. That's just how it is. That'd probably be his dream album at 48.
