Dec 22, 2020 I strongly believe post Recovery Eminem did fell off (in fact he prolly did and a lot on here would agree). With Recovery, I still have the belief he kinda sold out. He took the pop direction. True Recovery ended up being a huge success as a result, but after that, he wasn't consistent and most of the stuff he put out are forgotten. Lots of pop features (ugh) which in my opinion eventually lead him to Revival. The backlash he got after that led to his true awakening with the Chloraseptic remix and ever since, the True Shady has been revived. Currently, as a rapper and an MC, he is the best that he has ever been. Ruthless lyrical beast.

Dec 22, 2020 Dude even Recovery had good lines, don't let the one pop feature ruin it for you. He was just following trends at the time, just like he is now. I don't see how you guys think Eminem being the rappity-rap-rap type is some sort of miracle...it's the worst direction for him. I want him to rap with a sense of pace, not a sense of urgency. I don't need him going "flatulent hackulent backulent smackulent" like he does on this album, just stringing along rhymes for the sake of rhyming. The whole "fast rap" thing shoulda came and went for him back in 2013, tbh.

Dec 22, 2020 Nah, I don't think Em values Royce friend that little like to "punish" him for saying Doggystyle is better than any of Em's albums, but he ranks Em higher than he ranks Snoop as a rapper. Royce was a little more respectful.
