Dec 19, 2020 This needs more time for me. It’s tough because You Gon’ Learn, Darkness, Lock It Up, Marsh, and I Will are classic songs to me. I have 5-6 tracks I can’t stop playing but I’m still digesting Side B. His pen game is the best it’s been but I’m still wrestling with whether or not the songs as a whole are great or if I’m just bias because of the new material. Between side A and B there’s a classic in there, but I don’t think either is there on its own.
Dec 19, 2020 I feel ya... I may be in the minority, but I just really f--- with "In Too Deep" haha it's one of my favorites of the first one I went and looked and other than skits, I think I removed 5 tracks off each, so I think it works out well haha
Dec 19, 2020 From Top 3 to #1 in 7 minutes. You process things really fast. Congratulations. Your mind's fast as f---.
Dec 19, 2020 Overall song and theme? For sure lol I would add it in there somewhere probably and make it 21 tracks lol "In Too Deep" is just a personal preference of mine haha
Dec 19, 2020 Re read the comment dumbass. Top 3 of all time across all genres but his best album ever.
Dec 19, 2020 Higher provides such an uplifting vibe, which In Too Deep doesn't for this "Best of both worlds" compilation. But that's just my opinion, what do I know? :p
Dec 19, 2020 "Higher" is probably the best 'motivational, amp you up' song he's done in a long time. That chorus is dope as f---. I feel like it could fit in on "Recovery" somewhere.
Dec 19, 2020 This is the most cohesive mash I could come up with: 1. Alfred (intro) 2. Black Magic 3. Premonition 4. Alfred's Theme 5. Alfred (interlude) 6. You Gon Learn 7. Book of Rhymes 8. Yah Yah 9. Gnat 10. Godzilla 11. Favorite b---- 12. Guns Blazing 13. Never Love Again 14. Killer 15. Lock It Up 16. Darkness 17. These Demons 18. No Regrets 19. Zeus 20. I Will 21. Discombobulated 22. Alfred (outro)
Dec 19, 2020 What about now though? Because you change your mind so quickly and so often, I might need to ask the same thing again and again.
