Dec 18, 2020 Here is a quote from a Fan to the: HipHopDX Article: ROYCE DA 5’9 STANDS HIS GROUND AFTER RANKING SNOOP DOGG’S 'DOGGYSTYLE' OVER ALL EMINEM LPS lol Disagree Snoop never been great... Real talk lets keep it ? Dude projecting. Snoop would have never been s--- without Dre, Dre made everyone sound good. Look what happened when snoop a--- left Death Row and was without Dre for the longest. He went on to No Limit Trash a--- music during that time. Snoop was made Snoop by Dre. Dre's talent is on that level he a titan he made the pantheon Snoop just a salty looking down at Zeus cause he thought he was the chosen one. Dude permafried fam. Love him but he permafried. Jokes... notice the word Zeus LOL
Dec 18, 2020 Still too early to tell, Eminem's music grows on you in different ways. I'll be the guy that says Side A I think is better then Side B. They are VERY close. I think Side B is great as well, I love it! I just think Side A had more serious subject material and was a little more serious with good beats that went with the songs as well. I think Side B Em is still delivering crazy lyrics and bars, and it has great beats. I just don't think the subject material is anywhere near as serious, and for the first time in an Eminem album in my life, I'm deciphering what my favorite songs are based on lyrics vs. beats. I'm typically a more lenient lyrical guy, but in this project it varies. Like for example, I LOVE Alfred's Theme lyrics and flow. But I HATE the beat. In Higher, I LOVE the confidence, message, and beat....but the lyrics are not Eminem caliber. She Loves Me I LOVE the Dre beat, but the lyrics and flow are meh. I just find myself for the first time ever in an Eminem album debating how much I like each song based on lyrics vs. beats and almost averaging them out for a common balance. I've never done that before. EVER. As a hardcore Em fan after 20 plus years. Overall, glad he dropped the project. I like all the songs, but I think my top 5 below will be the long term 5 songs I listen to as time passes by and they stay entertaining and memorable. My ranking OVERALL of the 13 songs best to worst at this exact moment (subject to change obviously) 1. Discombobulated 2. Gnat 3. Zeus 4. Book of Rhymes 5. Favorite b---- 6. Guns Blazing 7. Alfred's Theme 8. Higher 9. Killer 10. Black Magic 11. She Loves Me 12. Tone Deaf 13. These Demons
Dec 18, 2020 Tone Deaf gonna remain slept on I know it.. forrrrr real early 00s Vibe on there that s----s hard
Dec 18, 2020 Can't wait for the album to drop at midnight. Still a little sceptical but the cover looks legit.
Dec 18, 2020 It would’ve been f---ing fantastic if he had Dre on the track he dissed snoop on. I wonder if he had anything to say about it or even knew about it
Dec 18, 2020 Snoop is really lame, he’s also not a rapper right he’s a marketing company/pop star. I love all the trendy white kids wear there cool “vintage” Biggy/2pac/snoop shirts, it’s funny I’d say the white poser kids everyone associated with Em are now just the kids in there “vintage” snoop tees.
Dec 18, 2020 Kamikaze had context behind the lyrics. It's a 13 track album filled with brilliant writing and awesome production. What's the context behind this album? Eminem was bored at home, so he went in the booth and recorded some s--- about "haters" and how much cash he has. This is just wrong...Revival is exactly the album Eminem wanted to put out. He had just released MMLP2 years prior, which he was receiving praise for. Obviously he felt good about the warm reception, and decided to get a little more personal ("Walk On Water", "Castle", "Arose", "Believe"), and more political ("Untouchable"), but the album ended up being negatively received. To think Revival is a product of the fans desires, is just wrong...and honestly, I'd argue the stuff he's putting out NOW is more fan service than ever.
Dec 18, 2020 Alfreds theme is ridiculously insane. Writing, rapping, flow, cadences, switches, zany beat and humour. It has it all. No artist is close to his rapping or writing. In world of his own.
Dec 18, 2020 Yea an album with 1000 pop features is definitely what he wanted to do. He literally even said in an interview that he “put a song for everybody” in order to please people.
