Acapella freestyle isn't good promo... It's the opposite of promo.

I'm oldschool, we used to say "fa----" daily, ya know.

    But for real...

This society is too soft nowadays, everybody gets offended so quick, they want to cancel everybody.

    What a fa---- society.

I remember looking at the tracklist for “Relapse” and “Recovery” and wondering:

Oh s---. What’s this song about to be about? “3 am”?

    “Cold wind blows”? Interesting

    Etc, etc, etc.

Then when I heard them they essentially just ended up being “Freestyle songs”.

Cool, but, that’s been majority of his style since.

As far as song structure, he can do it. And do it d--- near scary like: “Darkness”

I do sometimes want that song concept style. Em just locked in to a different world and just going hyper focus on the details.

I agree, but I don’t think em had a reason to be angry on this album, which is fine, and doesn’t take away from side B for me. Definitely should reason to be angry for a next album tho

Alberts theme is the most fun I’ve had listening to music in along time. Perfection to me.

    Edit; yes I’m high

Punchline rap is overrated. I know it's a 2010 meme that "lil Wayne sucks!!" but I've actually never been super into him because he is the pun similie punchline goat. Eminem bit lil Wayne's whole thing when it comes to that and has never stopped. I've never cared for it. There was some amazing examples of eminem doing it like the whole sub machine gun/subliminal scheme on not alike, or the reign/mist scheme on stepping stone, but those are expertly crafted and work even if you dont catch the wordplay.

Eminem's forte was always creative imagery, and that's why there was no punchline s--- on his old stuff. I really miss the funny imagery stuff:

"Grab a knife by the blade and stab you with the f---ing handle"

"I dont need bullets, and soon as I pull it you sweat bullets"

"As long as I've got pills and got plenty of pot, I'll be in a canoe paddling making fun of your yacht"

"I s---t up the playground, and tell the kids to stay in school"

    And actually on discombobulated:

"I just got an aids test and the doctor told me to think positive"

Really hilarious imagery that I think is far more creative and intelligent than simple word flipping. Actually takes a sense of humor and is worked in instead of "euthanasia, like kids in tawain" bs a--- lines. Pretty much everyone has come up with their own "recovery" style bar, because it's not actually that hard.

Every time someone says this and that Eminem line is corny, I imagine them looking like this:

They clearly have no sense of humor and take themselves way too seriously...

The best, and also most cringy part about this review is how people will change their opinion, or now won’t even give it a chance because he says he doesn’t like it.

I like what I like. I just personally don’t understand how people can lack that much agency within themselves to not think on their own

At the same time when it comes to something like a movie persay, I’ll see what the critics say so I know whether to waste my time or not but even then just based on a trailer, I can also again make up my own mind on whether or not I want to see the movie

I actually have no issue with Fantano. He explains exactly why he doesn’t like something. Gives details. I respect it. I just hate the sheep mentality but I also have to realize some of age demographic that follows him.

They aren’t old enough to think for themselves yet.

Sidenote: It was funny seeing him be serious when talking about Em’s bars knowing d--- well Em himself wasn’t serious with a few of them.

And that mini rant about 50 Cent and the commercialization of Rap music was.... interesting. A nice little peak into how Fantano thinks about that era of Rap. Telling actually.

But yeah, I just hate the sheep mentality.

This comparison between these 2 songs blows my mind. Firstly Nates hook is better and way more iconic on Till I Collapse. Secondly Ems verses don’t hold a candle on Higher compared to Till I Collapse. Higher doesn’t have the same energy or emotion that also drives the lyrics to another level. Higher is like Wish dot com compared to it.

Charlamagne should be expelled from the Culture. He's the most annoying, stupid, low-value, hater I have ever seen.
    Even worse than Vlad.
