    Can somebody f---ing explain me what the f--- "classics" are in this forum? Because in its normal meaning it is a work by a poet, novelist, or other artist that survived in collective constiousness as good or original for its times. For example 'Shining' by Stephen King is classic and it is basically an objective statement even if I personally don't consider it a particularly good novel (and the film is horrible). 'Raven' is objectively a classic poem even if some of You May not care for it much. When it comes to Eminem, I believe his last classic album for sure is Recovery, even if I feel it is okayish at best. However it was really well received and, do You like it or not, had a vast influence on other artists at the time. It was kind of derivative for Eminem but, nevertheless, fresh for the then rap scene. It's not only about quality or whether one like a piece of work or not but also about the context in which it exists. I'm sure most people here hate the album but I believe Recovery will be mentioned next to SSLP, MMLP, and The Eminem Show for many years to come, long after this forum ceases to exist. Is Kamikaze classic? Time will tell. But I feel for most people here "classic" equals "I like it", which is so f---ing iritating. Someone's liking or disliking something doesn't make it a classic. History does.

    Classic for me is an album that still is amazing after a long time passes, at least a decade. MMLP, TES, SSLP are classics for example.
