Also - if Kim was done in 97, Manson would have heard the song before he did the chorus, so why would he then refuse it?

The concept of the song is very old, hence why it's a prequel to Bonnie And Clyde. The original has altered production and a slightly different chorus. Marilyn refused to collaborate because he knew the topic/verses in the song would bring controversy

After an agreement wasn't reached, he shelved it. A year later while recording MMLP, Dre found the track and convinced Marshall to follow through with finishing and releasing it.

Yeah Manson has def spoken on it back in the late nineties. Like I said in my earlier post i'm pretty sure i remember an interview with Manson, which was conducted outside i seem to remember, where manson said something to the effect of "sorry my voice is shot because i was recording a chorus last night to a crazy, f----- up song by up and coming rapper Eminem". Like i said, might be off on that but he was def slated to do the Kim (aka b---- So Wrong) hook at some point. I'm guessing this was a Jimmy/management idea because Manson was the hottest artist on Interscope at the time.

Manson was to do the hook for the way i am. 99.9 percent sure. I think he actually recorded it. Maybe it didnt come out very good or didn't fit in with the rest of the album.

After Relapse tanked, Paul took advantage of Marshall's lack of self confidence for profit. He basically made him commercial as possible. This never happened 99-02 because at that point Em knew he was the best
